Join us for open-ended, facilitated discussions on a variety of topics related to different aspects of polyamory and/or queerness. All are welcome, so no knowledge of the topic is required, and as with all PolyamQ events, you don’t have to be polyamorous or queer to join us. Currently there is no consistent schedule for these events, but future events will be posted here and in our Facebook group.
- Housing and space: Negotiating our homes around polyamory can create some difficulties. A person’s partner might dislike when other guests are over, especially if it means they have to sleep on another bed, or a couch. How do we have conversations about this and other similar issues? On the other hand, sharing space with people can be a joyous thing, and while more people brings complexity, it also creates new affordances for loving interactions and intimacies.
What kind of household situation looks ideal to you? Would you want to live alone, and be able to have guests over without having to worry about sharing space with other household members? Or would you want to have a “nesting partner” make up a two-adult household with you? Or maybe you want to live with many friends, partners, and other family in a large polyamarous household, or even a commune. What would that look like for you?
